Professional childcare. Personal attention.
Knot Nannies was founded on one simple belief: parents deserve the freedom to be fully present for life’s most meaningful moments. Through thoughtful, professional childcare and genuine personal attention, we create a safe, engaging environment where children thrive - allowing families to celebrate with complete peace of mind.
Hi, I’m Michelle!
I’m proud to call West Michigan home, where family, community, and meaningful celebrations have always been a part of my life. As a mother of three, I know how quickly these moments pass by, and I believe every parent deserves the opportunity to be fully present for them.
For more than seven years, I’ve dedicated my career to working with children in early childhood education, serving in leadership roles as both Lead Teacher and Team Lead. Along the way, I’ve become a Certified Behavioral Technician (ABA), earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification. Those experiences have taught me that exceptional childcare reaches far beyond supervision. It’s about creating an environment where children feel seen, understood, and genuinely cared for.
My experience in both early education and Applied Behavior Analysis has taught me that every child is unique. Whether a child is outgoing, highly energetic, or benefits from additional structure and support, I believe every child deserves individualized care that meets them where they are. Creating calm, inclusive environments where every child feels safe, engaged, and successful is at the heart of everything I do.
I believe exceptional event childcare starts long before the first child arrives. It means thoughtful planning, clear communication with families, preparation for different ages and personalities, and creating an environment where children feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Those details are what allow parents to truly relax.
Throughout my career, I noticed the same pattern again and again. No matter the occasion, parents wanted to be fully present. Instead, they often found themselves stepping away to care for their children. They missed conversations, keynote speakers, milestone moments, and the little memories they had been looking forward to for months.
That’s why I created Knot Nannies.
To me, professional childcare is about far more than keeping children occupied. It’s about building trust with families, anticipating children’s needs before they arise, and creating an environment where every child feels welcome, included, and genuinely excited to be a part of all the lasting moments. Professional childcare should enhance an event, not interrupt it. When families know their children are safe and happy, everyone can be fully present.
Every Knot Nannies event we support is intentionally planned with age-appropriate activities, organized check-in procedures, thoughtful communication with parents, and caregivers who understand that safety and connection go hand in hand. Whether we’re caring for infants, energetic toddlers, school aged children, or children that benefit from additional support, our goal is always the same: to create an environment where every child feels confident and every parent has peace of mind.
My goal is simple: to provide professional, on-site childcare that gives parents complete peace of mind while creating a fun, engaging experience for every child in our care. When children feel safe, seen, understood, and genuinely enjoy being a part of the event, parents are free to be fully present. That’s what Knot Nannies is all about.
